BKW Mühleberg Visitor Centre

2021
The Swiss nuclear power plant (KKM) was officially switched off in December 2019 after 47 years of service. To commemorate this event and the people who worked there, my team and I at Habegger AG produced a visitor centre. As the design expert for this project, I developed signage systems and curated the exhibition's overall feel. The result was an interactive information centre that guides visitors through the power plant's impressive history and exciting future. BKW Mühleberg opened the visitor centre on 22 August 2020 and is open for visitors.

Slay in Your Lane: The Journal

2020
Having designed the widely recognised cover of 'Slay in Your Lane: The Black Girl Bible', I was asked to create its follow-up book, yet this time, leading the entire publication from visual concept to typesetting, illustration and print production. 'Slay in your lane: The Journal' is an activity book packed full of practical exercises, worksheets, questionnaires and actionable tips to help black women get ahead in everything from relationships to starting a successful side hustle, building a personal brand, knowing your worth at work, finances, self-care, and health.

“This book is a gift for anyone who wants to better understand what Black women and girls are up against―and the tremendous resources they draw upon as they make their way in the world”

Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook and founder of LeanIn.Org and OptionB.Org

School of Commons

2020
School of Commons is a community-based initiative based at ZhDK that aims to decentralise and diversify knowledge. Its founders asked me to create a flexible and accessible visual identity. I designed a grid system reminiscent of elementary school textbooks often used in the West. Using this shared visual memory, my objective was for people to recognise these grids from their schoolbooks and remember the feeling of colouring outside the lines or the tension of wanting to stay within the lines.

I created a flexible grid system with playfulness in mind, hoping that designers would feel compelled to break it. This grid aimed to create a backdrop to which its users may feel empowered to make other collateral such as letterheads, event posts, leaflets, and more, breaking, exploring and experimenting with the structure I’ve set in place.

The logo is used primarily in two ways, the abbreviated version SOC and the extended version used for all other official documents. I crafted the SOC logo on the principle of slow reading culture. For this reason, both ends of the logo are cropped to convey the sense that the work and conversations in the School of Commons extend beyond the page.
